: Preliminary proposals for this scheme were received in my Department in July 1977. asked the Minister for the Environment if he is aware of the very serious position in regard to the shortage of water in the Inch district, County Kerry; and, if so, if he will now give immediate consideration to the proposals submitted by Kerry County Council for the provision of piped water supply for this most important tourist resort.

: Group water schemes being organised and to be organised in this area are dependent for a supply of water on the Inch Headworks Water Supply Scheme proposed by Kerry County Council. The present position with this latter scheme is that contract documents were submitted to my Department by Kerry County Council on 22 May 1978 and are being examined.
