asked the Minister for Agriculture the total amount of land held by the Land Commission; the total amount presently being sought by compulsory acquisition; and the total amount of lands held that are lettable.

: The total area at present on hands of the Land Commission, including remnants of old Congested Districts Board's estates, is of the order of 91,000 acres of which some 72,000 acres could be classed as lettable. Proceedings are in progress for the compulsory acquisition of 46,000 acres, approximately.
