Allocation of Time: Motion .

: I move:

That notwithstanding anything in Standing Orders and in the Resolution of 12th October, 1977 (as amended by the Resolution of 14th December, 1977), relating to business and sittings:

(1) the Dáil shall sit later than 9 p.m. to-day and to-morrow and than 5.30 p.m. on Thursday and shall adjourn on each day not later than 10.30 p.m. and the provisions of Standing Order 20 in relation to the interruption of business shall not apply;

(2) consideration of Government business shall not be interrupted this week at the time fixed for taking Private Members' business;

(3) the sitting to-morrow shall not be suspended from 1.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m.;

(4) the proceedings on the remaining Estimates and Supplementary Estimates for the year ending 31st December, 1978 shall be taken from 3.30 p.m. to 7 p.m. to-day and these proceedings, if not previously concluded, shall be brought to a conclusion at 7 p.m. by putting from the Chair forthwith and successively the Questions necessary to bring them to a conclusion and where a division is demanded on a Question such division shall be taken forthwith;

(5) in the debate on the Motion relating to the Green Paper "Development for Full Employment" and to the Adjournment for the Summer recess:

(a) the speech of a Member, other than the speeches of

(i) the Member of the Government, the Member of Fine Gael and the Member of the Labour Party opening the debate and

(ii) the Members indicated in

(b) below,

shall not exceed 30 minutes; and

(b) Members as indicated hereunder shall be called upon by the Chair to speak on Thursday 29th June not later than the times specified:—

(i) 7.15 p.m., a Member nominated by the Labour Party,

(ii) 8.15 p.m., a Member nominated by Fine Gael,

(iii) 9.15 p.m., a Member of the Government who shall conclude the debate not later than 10.15 p.m.
