asked the Minister for the Environment when he will approve the grant for the Urlaur/Kilmove group water supply scheme, County Mayo.

: The design for this scheme, which is to serve approximately 231 houses, has been forwarded to Mayo County Council for approval. If and when the design is approved by the county council my Department will advise the group to seek quotations for the supply of materials and the carrying out of the scheme. When quotations are selected by the group a firm estimate of the cost will be made and an approval certificate allocating the appropriate grants will be issued.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will approve stages 2 and 3 of South Roscommon regional water scheme, as part of stage 1, due to the urgent need for water supply in the Dysart area of County Roscommon and surrounding areas.

Contract documents for stage 2 of the scheme, which will serve the Roscommon environs of Ballinasloe, are under consideration in my Department, while no proposals have been submitted for stage 3.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding the proposed sewerage extension to Monksland Industrial Estate, Athlone, County Roscommon.

: The servicing of this industrial estate forms part of Roscommon County Council's proposals for the servicing of the Monksland area. These proposals are presently being examined in my Department and I hope to convey a decision thereon to the local authority in the near future.
