Vol. 307 No. 14

Written Answers . - Leinster House Restaurant Staff .

: A Cheann Comhairle, I finished my speech proper before Question Time but I would like to raise a matter now which I regard as of some importance.

: I will not argue a second time with the Deputy over a few minutes.

: I would like to ask you —I am sure in the name of every Deputy here—as the head of Leinster House and its administrative arrangements, to take a personal interest in regard to the situation of the Leinster House restaurant and bar staff. You probably know the situation which is confronting them, or which may confront them, and which was reported in the paper this morning. We will be all going now and not seeing each other until October and I would be glad if you, as Ceann Comhairle, would try to find some way of interesting yourself in what is going on and making sure that no hardship or injustice will result.

: The Chair will take note of what the Deputy has said.
