: Apart from financial aid for swimming pools, no grants have been paid by my Department specifically for provision of bathing facilities in the Dublin area. It is, however, open to local authorities to provide facilities at bathing areas under the environmental improvement schemes programme. The selection and execution of works under the programme is a matter for local authorities, but I am aware that the local authorities concerned are carying out works at various sea-front locations in the Dublin area.
