Vol. 308 No. 3

Written Answers. - Mayo Arterial Drainage Schemes.

473.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will give details of arterial drainage schemes in east Mayo; their location, place on the priority list; and the likely date of commencement and completion in each case.

Arterial drainage schemes affecting east Mayo are proposed in the Corrib-Mask-Robe and Boyle catchment areas. The Corrib-Mask-Robe is part of the Corrib catchment which was No. 4 on the priority list. The Boyle was No. 13 on the priority list. The scheme for the Corrib-Mask-Robe catchment is expected to commence shortly and will take about six years to complete. It is not possible to say at this stage when the scheme for the Boyle catchment might commence. It would take about five years to complete.
