asked the Minister for Social Welfare the number of insured persons entitled to limited benefit only, and the total amount contributed by them, for the last period for which figures are available.

The number of insured persons entitled to limited benefit only, was 153,250. The total amount contributed in 1977 to the social insurance fund was £12,797,000 and to the occupational injuries fund £465,000 in respect of persons other than those insured for all benefits.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare the number of (a) male and female ordinary, (b) agricultural, (c) female, domestic contributors; and the total amounts contributed in respect of each category, to (i) the social insurance, (ii) the health insurance, and (iii) the occupational injuries, funds; for the last period for which figures are available.

The number of insured persons who pay the ordinary, agricultural and female domestic rates of social insurance contributions is as follows:

Ordinary Rate: (i) Male, 519,000 (ii) Female 270,000.

Agricultural Rate, 25,500.

Female Domestic Rate, 6,500.

The amounts contributed in respect of each category in 1977 are as follows:—
