The total area of land acquired and purchased by the Land Commission in the period 1 April 1965 to 30 June 1978, is 380,320 acres. As Land Commission records are maintained on a financial year basis only, figures for half-yearly periods requested by the Deputy are not available. The yearly figures are as follows:
