No such quota exists. I am however, informed by Bord na Móna that production of turf briquettes is at present insufficient to cope with demand and the board have introduced an allocation system which limits a distributors' annual purchases of briquettes to not more than the total amount he purchased in the 12 months ended 13 October 1976, which was the last year of unrestricted sales of briquettes.
