I have this under consideration at present and expect to make an announcement in the matter very shortly.
In view of the fact that this is closely integrated with the remainder of his programme could the Minister say why there has been a delay in making a decision?
I do not think there has been unreasonable delay. I accept the import of the Deputy's question and, in my opinion, valid dated blue cards are a necessary adjunct to the disease eradication programme.
When will the Minister make a decision?
As soon as possible.
