asked the Taoiseach if he will give figures, in respect of males and females for November of each year from 1973 to 1978 inclusive, for unemployment in the following areas of County Tipperary; Clonmel, Tipperary town, Cashel, Carrick-on-Suir, Cahir and Fethard.

The following statement gives the number of males and females on the live register at Clonmel, Tipperary, Cashel, Carrick-on-Suir and Cahir Local Offices at mid-November 1973 and at corresponding dates in each of the years 1974 to 1978.

Fethard town has no Local Office.

It must be borne in mind that the figures for November 1978 are affected by the relaxation in the rules governing the eligibility of women for unemployment assistance, which was introduced on 6 October of that year.

asked the Taoiseach the number of recipients of unemployment assistance and unemployment benefit, at November of each year from 1973 to 1978 inclusive, distinguishing between male and female, for each of the following areas in County Tipperary; Clonmel, Tipperary town, Cashel, Carrick-on-Suir, Cahir and Fethard.

The following statement gives the number of male and female recipients of unemployment benefit and unemployment assistance who were on the live register at the Clonmel, Tipperary, Cashel, Cahir and Carrick-on-Suir Local Offices at mid-November 1973 and at corresponding dates in each of the years 1974 to 1978.
