Vol. 310 No. 9

Written Answers. - Public Health Nurses' Dispute.

52.

asked the Minister for Health the steps he is taking to resolve the dispute between himself and the public health nurses; the arrangements operating at the week-ends in respect of patients needing constant attention; and if he is satisfied with these arrangements.

The dispute which is between the public health nurses and the health boards has already been discussed by the organisations representing the public health nurses and the boards. A further meeting has been arranged and I trust that a solution to the problem will be arrived at.

Appropriate arrangements have been made by the health boards to meet the situation and I am satisfied that these are adequate pending a settlement of the dispute.
