asked the Minister for Social Welfare when he intends to publish details of the promised new fuel scheme; and when he anticipates that it will come into operation.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he has under consideration the provision of a comprehensive heating service to replace the cheap fuel scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if the committee set up by him to review the cheap fuel scheme has yet made its report; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he has completed the review of the cheap fuel scheme announced by him earlier in the year; the result of such review; and when any changes will be introduced.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 69 to 72, inclusive, together.

As I have informed the House in reply to earlier questions I set up a working group to carry out a review of the cheap fuel scheme. The report of this group, which has been received, is at present under examination in my Department. In the meanwhile the existing cheap fuel scheme has been brought into operation for the present season.
