I am prepared to consider giving a State grant of 25 per cent of the cost in respect of harbour improvement works at Ardmore and have so advised the Waterford County Council Fisheries Committee. In view of the fact that the improvements would mainly benefit the local tourist industry I am satisfied that a 25 per cent grant is as much as would be justified in the fisheries interest.
