I move:

That notwithstanding anything in Standing Orders the following arrangements shall apply to-day in the debate on the motion relating to the European Monetary System:—

(a) the speech of each member called on, other than the member of the Government opening the debate, the opening speakers for Fine Gael and the Labour Party and the final three speakers, shall not exceed 30 minutes; and

(b) the final speakers from the Labour Party and Fine Gael shall be called on not later than 2.45 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. respectively and a member of the Government shall be called on not later than 4.15 p.m. to conclude the debate.
