asked the Minister for Education (a) the number of post-primary students in schools in each town, (b) the number of each case requiring remedial teaching, and (c) the number of qualified remedial teachers employed in these schools in respect of (1) Kinsale, (2) Bandon, (3) Clonakilty, (4) Rosscarbery, (5) Dunmanway, (6) Skibbereen, and (7) Bantry, County Cork.

The number of post-primary students in the specified areas in the current school is as follows: (1) Kinsale: 415; (2) Bandon: 1,341; (3) Clonakilty: 924; (4) Rosscarbery: 331; (5) Dunmanway: 447; (6) Skibbereen: 1,077; (7) Bantry: 623.

(b) This information is not available in my Department.

(c) Remedial teachers are not a specific category in post-primary schools. I am not in a position, therefore, to give the information sought by the Deputy.
