asked the Minister for Education the number of proposals for new private secondary schools in the Dublin area which are currently under consideration in his Department; the area in which each such school is proposed to be situated; the size of each such school; whether it is to be single-sex or co-educational; the identity of the authors of each proposal; and when he expects to make a decision on each such proposal.

Only one application for recognition of a new secondary school in the Dublin area is currently under consideration in my Department. I expect to be in a position to make a decision on the application very shortly.
Pending such decision, it would be inappropriate to give the information requested by the Deputy concerning the application.
