asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the amount (a) allocated and (b) spent in respect of development education in 1978; and if he will give details of the project or projects on which the funds were expended.

The overall amount allocated for development education in 1978 was £35,000. Of this a total amount of £33,840.53 was spent. Details of the various projects for which funds were provided are given underneath.
