The Southern Health Board first submitted proposals to my Department for the extention of Kenmare District Hospital on 23 June 1975.
On 14 February 1978 I approved of the inclusion of the project in the 1978 Capital Programme for my Department. Planning of the project is well advanced and building work is expected to start this summer.
