While the scheme has been laid before the House and is available for inspection I can say for the Deputy's information that its general terms provide for a change in the basis of calculating employees' contributions and pensions, transfer of service with local authorities, payment of a death-in-service gratuity, payment of benefits to a member retiring on redundancy grounds after 20 years' service, revision of pensions and extension of the area of permitted investment by the trustees of the fund.
The scheme was discussed with the unions concerned at the time that it was formulated.
