Proceedings for the compulsory acquisition of the holding referred to were instituted in November 1978. An objection to the acquisition of the lands has been lodged and is awaiting hearing.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if the Land Commission have any plans for the acquisition of the Delaney estate, Carrintubber East, Kilkerrin, Ballinasloe, County Galway.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if the Land Commission have any plans for the acquisition of the Michael Moran estate, Kilconly, Tuam, County Galway.
With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 35 and 36 together. The Land Commission have no proposals for the acquisition of the properties referred to.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when the Land Commission intend to divide the Forde estate, Knockbrack, Athenry, County Galway.
It is hoped to include these lands in next year's allotment programme.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when the Land Commission intend to divide the Kirwan estate, Ballynaheskeragh, Killimor, Ballinasloe, County Galway.
I understand the Land Commission hope to divide the holding referred to this spring in conjunction with other lands in the same locality.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if the Land Commission have any plans for the acquisition of the Devine and Fallon estates at Carrowntomush, Dunmore, County Galway.
I understand the Land Commission are carrying out an inspection of these lands with a view to determining whether acquisition proceedings should be instituted.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the year in which the Land Commission acquired the Hubert Tully estate, Clogharoasty, Newtowndaly, Loughrea, County Galway.
The Land Commission have not acquired a Tully estate at Clogharoasty, County Galway.
The Deputy may be referring to the estate of the late Delia Kavanagh, situated in the same townland, which was at one time part of the estate of Hubert E. Tully. Possession of the Kavanagh holding was taken in July 1976 and proposals for the allotment of the lands are being formulated.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the year in which the Land Commission acquired the Patrick Reilly estate, Carramore, Newtowndaly, Loughrea, County Galway.
The Land Commission obtained possession of this estate in April 1968. Division of the lands has been deferred pending the acquisition of other lands nearby in order to improve access. Proceedings for the acquisition of these other lands are nearing completion and it is expected that the division of the Reilly estate can then be effected.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that Loughrea Rugby Football Club made application to the Land Commission for six acres of land in the O'Connell estate, Ballygarty, Loughrea, County Galway; and if he will recommend to the Land Commission that their application for a rugby pitch be given favourable consideration since other sporting organisations in the area have been successful in their application to the Land Commission for similar facilities.
The club's application is already on record and, in conjunction with the claims of other applicants, will be given full consideration by the Land Commission when they come to dispose of these lands in due course.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if the Land Commission have any plans to acquire the Dan Clancy estate, Slievefinn, Claregalway, County Galway and the Patrick Cunningham estate, "The Glebe", Slievefinn, Claregalway, County Galway.
The Land Commission have no proposals for the acquisition of either of the properties referred to but the Clancy case is being kept under review.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that the Seán Kelly estate, Clooncunny, Glensk, Castlerea, County Galway, was up for sale by public auction on 24 February 1979; and if he will instruct the Land Commission to inspect these lands with a view to their acquisition and division among the small holders in that area.
I am informed by the Land Commission that the general area in which this holding is situated is not acutely congested and, in these circumstances, an inspection of the holding would not be warranted.

asked the Minister for Agriculture (1) the land holding in the possession of the Land Commission in County Galway, (2) the exact location and acreage of each property, and (3) the proposals, if any, that the Land Commission have for the resale of land in County Galway in 1979.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when the Land Commission intend to divide the Minton estate at Garrynamishaun, Aughrim, Ballinasloe, County Galway.
I understand that the Land Commission have not yet taken possession of the estate in question and that it is not possible at this stage to say when the lands may be allotted.
