Vol. 312 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Trade Disputes Act.

6.

asked the Minister for Labour the proposals, if any, to review and update the Trade Disputes Act, 1906.

I have this matter under consideration.

Is the Minister in a position to state when he might be able to bring proposals before the House?

At this stage I am afraid I could not give a date but, as I have indicated already in public, I am actively considering amendments to the Trade Dispute Act in relation to picketing and the definition of "workmen" contained in that Act.
