Vol. 313 No. 1

Written Answers. - Westport House Game Park.

237.

asked the Minister for Finance if he has received an application from a circus (details supplied) for the supply by the Office of Public Works of one doe and two fawns for the game park in Westport House; and, if he will give a specific date as to when they may expect delivery of these animals, taking into account that 150 deer were sold to a German speculator and exported to the Continent for resale there without any apparent delay.

The Commissioners of Public Works received an application from a circus for the supply of one doe and two fawns for the Zoo Park at Westport House.

A representative of the circus was advised in a recent telephone conversation that, before agreeing to the sale of the required deer, it would be necessary for the Commissioners' Zoologist to inspect the facilities at the Westport House Zoo Park. This inspection will be made next month.
