Vol. 313 No. 1

Written Answers. - Sewerage Schemes.

286.

asked the Minister for the Environment when the sewerage scheme for Rosscarbery, County Cork, will commence.

I cannot as yet say when work might commence on this scheme, contract documents for which are under consideration in my Department. The proposals for the scheme must be considered in the context of the amount of capital available for water and sewerage schemes and the number of such schemes in progress or getting to construction at the present time.

287.

asked the Minister for the Environment the proposals for the sanction of the sewerage scheme for Summerhill, County Meath.

The local authority's proposals for this scheme must be considered in the context of the overall amount of capital available for water and sewerage schemes and the number of such schemes in progress or getting to construction at the present time. I cannot say when I will be in a position to convey a decision to the local authority on this scheme, working drawings for which are under consideration in my Department.
