Vol. 313 No. 3

Written Answers. - Law Reform Commission.

214.

asked the Taoiseach the present staffing arrangements of the Law Reform Commission and the proposals, if any, to expand the role and work of the commission.

The staffing arrangements of the Law Reform Commission are set out in the Law Reform Commission Act, 1975. The members of the Law Reform Commission are: The Hon. Mr. Justice Brian Walsh, Judge of the Supreme Court (President); John Charles Conroy, former President of the Circuit Court; Roger Hayes, formerly an Assistant Secretary in the Department of Justice and later Director of Research in the Office of the Commission; Professor Robert Heuston, Regius Professor of Law, Trinity College, Dublin, and Martin E. Marren, Solicitor.

With regard to the staff of the commission, I would invite the Deputy's attention to my reply to a question on 20 February 1979.

The answer to the second part of the question is in the negative.
