asked the Minister for Social Welfare to arrange to have non-contributory old age pension paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

A non-contributory old age pension at the maximum rate has now been awarded from 7 October 1977 to the claimant by an appeals officer. Arrangements will be made for the issue of a pension order book and arrears of pension as soon as postal services permit.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare to arrange to have unemployment benefit paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

Due to difficulties in communicating with the local offices of my Department it has not been possible in the time available to obtain details of the claim for unemployment benefit of the person concerned.

I will inform the Deputy of the position immediately the information becomes available.
