asked the Minister for Health the total amount spent in the last year on television, radio, and newspaper advertising of the different benefits available to the public under the Health Acts.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Health Act Benefits.
9.
There was no expenditure in the last year on newspaper, radio or television advertising of Health Act benefits. My Department, through its Information Section, and each of the health boards, provide information as a matter of course on the benefits available to the public under the Health Acts but this is usually done by personal interview, correspondence or telephone. Details of the health services are available also in an information booklet "Summary of Health Services", published by my Department. The National Social Service Council provides information on benefits available to the public under the Health Acts through a network of Community Information Centres.
