asked the Minister for Finance (i) the expected increase in PAYE tax revenue for 1979 consequent on a 25,000 increase in employment; (ii) the expected average tax paid by the increased number employed in 1979; (iii) the average PAYE tax paid in 1978 and expected in 1979 by all PAYE taxpayers.
The average PAYE tax paid in 1978 is estimated at about £780. As regards the remaining parts of the question, it is not the practice to publish detailed forecasts of this kind.
