asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding the proposed sewerage scheme at Annestown, County Waterford.
I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 144 and 145 together.
The local authority's preliminary proposals for these two schemes must be considered in the context of the amount of capital available for water and sewerage schemes and the number of such schemes in progress or getting to construction at the present time. Having regard to the need to conserve the capital available for the schemes of highest priority I cannot say when I will be in a position to convey approval to the local authority to proceed with the further planning of these schemes.
