asked the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry if he will indicate (a) the period of absence of the chairman of the board of BIM while in Tasmania; (b) the total cost of travelling and subsistence expenses of the absence, (c) if such cost was recouped to BIM and if so, by whom; (d) if the salary of the chairman of BIM was recouped in his period of absence; (e) if he granted approval for such leave of absence; and (f) who acted as chairman during the period of absence.

The replies to the Deputy's questions are as follows: (a) Three months; (b) These expenses were not paid by BIM; (c) Does not arise; (d) Yes; (e) Yes; (f) Mr. P. Kerin, a member of the board, acted as Chairman of board meetings held during the chairman's absence.
