It is hoped that work will commence this year on the following new schools: (1) Newcastle (for mentally handicapped children); (2) Glebe, Wicklow Town (Church of Ireland); (3) Ashford, and on extensions at the existing schools in (1) Donard; (2) Dunlavin; (3) Tinahely.
Work started recently on Stage II of the new school at Ballywaltrim, Bray.
