Vol. 314 No. 5

Written Answers. - Kerry School Transport.

291.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware that the school bus serving the districts of Aughrim, Glenacappa, Leitrim and Moyvane, County Kerry was withdrawn some time ago causing great inconvenience; the reasons for the service being withdrawn; if he will consider restoring this bus service; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The school transport service to Murhur (Moyvane) national school ceased when the school closed for Easter 1979 vacation because there were not sufficient eligible children availing of transport to warrant continuation of the service. Restoration of the service cannot be considered until at least ten eligible children are again available for transport to the school.
