Vol. 314 No. 7

Written Answers. - Dublin AnCO Training Centre.

294.

asked the Minister for Labour if he has proposals to provide an AnCO training centre in Dublin's north-eastern suburbs; if so, (i) when such a training centre will be established; (ii) its location and (iii) the range of courses it would offer.

In addition to their 300-place Cabra training centre which services the north Dublin area, AnCO have under consideration plans to complete two 400-place training centres in the north side of Dublin before the end of 1981. One centre will be located on a site which has been acquired in Poppintree, Finglas. It is hoped to locate the other on a site in the Howth Junction-Baldoyle area.

The proposed range of courses for each centre will cover training for skills in the electrical-electronics industry, engineering and process type industries and also in construction. In addition training for service type industries such as clerical and office procedures will also be provided.
