The Government have established an inner city group for furthering the work of the inter-departmental committee on Dublin inner city which reported to the Government recently and to develop a programme of action by the various Departments and public agencies operating in the inner city area. This group will advise me as soon as possible on how the additional £1 million assigned by the Government for development of the area can best be used. Work on proposals which I approve will then begin without delay.
