Vol. 315 No. 5

Written Answers. - Petrol Vouchers.

48.

asked the Minister for Tourism and Transport if he will outline the arrangements made for the issue of petrol vouchers to tourists and visitors travelling to the Republic through Northern Ireland, and the location in Donegal where petrol on the "voucher service scheme" can be obtained.

Tourists bringing their own cars to the Republic via ferries operating to Northern Ireland or hiring cars in the Republic may collect petrol vouchers at any one of the 14 Tourist Information Offices including that at Letterkenny. A list of garages designated under the scheme to supply petrol to tourists is made available with the vouchers. The majority of the garages involved will be open on Monday to Friday (9 a.m.-12 noon). Details will be available at Tourist Information Offices for their respective areas, including information on limited Sunday openings.
