Written Answers. - Meath Coast Erosion.

79.

asked the Minister for Finance when the proposal under the Coast Protection Act, 1963 for coast erosion works was received from Meath County Council and the action, if any, taken to date.

As stated in my reply to the Deputy on 18 February 1979 the Meath County Council lodged with the Commissioners of Public Works on 16 November 1978 an application under the Coast Protection Act, 1963 for a coast protection scheme at the Mornington, Bettystown, Laytown and Gormanstown areas of County Meath. It is intended to undertake a reconnaissance survey of the areas in the near future.
