The total numbers of new motor vehicles registered in the years 1976, 1977 and 1978 were 89, 146, 104, 746 and 133, 562 respectively. Corresponding figures for the first half of 1979 are not yet available. In the period January-February 1979 (the latest available) the total number of new motor vehicles registered was 26,340.
