Vol. 315 No. 14

Written Answers. - National School Prefabricated Classrooms.

147.

asked the Minister for Finance if insulation standards are set in respect of prefabricated classrooms in use at national schools; if such classrooms are more efficient in the use of heat in the winter than permanent classrooms and, if so, to what extent.

Insulation standards are set in respect of prefabricated classrooms for use at national schools. It is not practicable to say whether such classrooms are more efficient in the use of heat in winter than permanent classrooms, due to the number of variables involved, such as different forms of construction and types of heating installations, size and height of classrooms and so forth.
