Vol. 316 No. 2

Written Answers. - Tramore New Garda Station.

32.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will make a statement on the up-to-date position concerning the provision of a new Garda station in Tramore, County Waterford.

As I stated in my reply to a question from the Deputy on 28 March 1979, it is proposed to build a new Garda station in Tramore on a site at Market Street which is the property of the town commissioners. I understand that the town commissioners at their meeting on 4 September 1979 agreed to sell the site to the Commissioners of Public Works. The town commissioners have been urged to initiate the remaining legal processes necessary to transfer title to the State. When the legal formalities have been satisfactorily concluded the plans for the new building will be completed without delay.
