asked the Minister for Education the vocational education committees that have established management committees for second-level institutions under their control in line with section 21 of the Vocational Education Act; if there is a uniform structure for such management committees or boards of management; and the nature of such structure.

The following vocational education committees have under section 21 of the Vocational Education Act, 1930, established boards of management for their second-level schools:

Vocational Education Committees

1. City of Cork

2. City of Dublin

3. City of Limerick

4. City of Waterford

5. Boro' of Dún Laoghaire

6. Town of Galway

7. County Cork

8. County Donegal

9. County Dublin

10. County Galway

11. County Kerry

12. County Kilkenny

13. County Laois

14. County Limerick

15. County Longford

16. County Louth

17. County Mayo

18. County Meath

19. County Monaghan

20. County Offaly

21. County Sligo

22. County Tipperary (NR)

23. County Tipperary (SR)

24. County Waterford

25. County Wexford

2. The structure suggested by the Minister in 1975 was as follows:— Six members nominated by the vocational education committee; two parents of pupils receiving education in the school, one of them being a mother; one representative elected by teachers of the school.

3. All vocational education committees have not, however, adopted this precise structure. There are accordingly other forms of structure in operation in several areas.
