The Committee on Medical and Public Health Research of the EEC have arranged a seminar on post neo-natal mortality and sudden unexpected death in infancy. The seminar will take place in Sheffield, England from 21 to 23 November. A doctor from the Medico-Social Research Board will attend the seminar.
One of the objectives of the seminar is to examine the possibility of setting up an international study of post neo-natal mortality, with particular reference to sudden unexpected deaths in infancy. It is expected that decisions on whether such a study should be carried out, its extent and funding will be taken after the results of the seminar have been assessed.
