Vol. 316 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dental Services Report.

4.

asked the Minister for Health if he has received the report on the dental services in Ireland and the action he intends taking as result of the recommendations in that report.

I have recently received the report of a Working Party on Dental Services who were established in June 1978 and who comprised representatives of my Department, the Irish Dental Association and health boards. I am examining the recommendations in the report with a view to preparing a comprehensive development programme for dental services. In the meantime negotiations have already begun with the Irish Dental Association on immediate measures which could be taken to make dental services more readily available to eligible persons.
