It is expected that the new second-level school in Blackrock/Mahon area of Cork city will be ready for occupation at the commencement of the 1981-82 school year. It is anticipated that the school will eventually have an enrolment of 700 pupils. It is proposed the school will be a community school.
Work on the building of the premises could not be commenced pending permission being made available in October 1979 to enter the site.
