Vol. 316 No. 10

Written Answers. - Dublin City Motor Tax Office.

120.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will make more staff available in order that the very lengthy queues in the motor tax office in Dublin City can be reduced; if he is aware of the present appalling conditions for staff and public there, and the proposals, if any, to alleviate the situation.

It would be a matter for the Dublin City Manager to take any initiative considered necessary in relation to the matters raised. There are no related proposals before my Department. I understand that the Deputy tabled a question on similar lines for the meeting of the City Council held on the 5 November and, in view of what I have said, suggest that that is the appropriate forum to deal with the matter.
