The numbers of persons on the live register at the Limerick employment exchange on 2 November 1979 and on the corresponding dates in 1978 and 1977 are as follows: 2 November 1979—2,970; 3 November 1978—3,653; 4 November 1977— 3,973. This represents a reduction in the number of people on the live register of over 1,000 in that period.
