asked the Minister for Education the cost per pupil in the following education establishments (a) primary schools, (b) secondary schools, (c) vocational schools, (d) comprehensive schools, (e) community schools, (f) NIHE Limerick, (g) Thomond College of Physical Education, (h) UCC, (i) UCG, (j) UCD, and (k) Trinity College in respect of the academic year 1978-79.

The average cost per full-time equivalent pupil funded by my Department was as follows for the financial year 1978, the latest year available:
