Vol. 317 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Price Trends Study.

14.

asked the Minister for the Environment if An Foras Forbartha have completed their study of land price trends as indicated by him on 15 May 1979, and if he is now in a position to make this information available to Deputies.

An Foras Forbartha have completed their study of land price trends and I have arranged for a copy of the study to be sent to the Deputy. An Foras Forbartha have been informed that there is no objection to the publication of the study.

When did the Minister receive the study from An Foras Forbartha and when does he propose to make copies available to Deputies? When can we expect to get a copy?

Immediately.

When did the Minister receive the review from An Foras Forbartha? When did he decide to make it available to us?

An Foras Forbartha were requested in September 1978 to do this examination. They produced their report at the end of May of this year. Due mainly to difficulties regarding availability An Foras Forbartha's examination was rather confined. The Deputy will see this for himself when he gets the report.

My question refers to a question I asked on 15 May last and the six-month rule applies to questions. All I can do is record my disappointment that it has taken until another question was put down on the Order Paper before this information produced by a semi-State body is made available to Deputies.

It was my intention to make it available despite the fact that the Deputy put down the question.

I am glad it is now being made available.
