Vol. 317 No. 4

Written Answers. - Ballyfermot (Dublin) Fire Station.

470.

asked the Minister for the Environment the plans, if any, to build a fire station in Ballyfermot, Dublin, and, if not, the reasons for not undertaking this project.

There is no proposal before my Department relating to the provision of a fire station at Ballyfermot. As the Deputy will appreciate it is the responsibility of the sanitary authority concerned—in this case Dublin Corporation—to make reasonable provision for the prompt and efficient extinguishing of fires in its district, including the initiation, where necessary, of proposals for the provision of fire stations.
