It was not possible to provide the kiosk because of pressure of more urgent work. It is expected the kiosk will be provided within two months or so.
Before calling on the Minister for Finance to move item No. 5 on the Order Paper I should like to state that, in accordance with a recommendation made to me by the Committee on Procedure and Privileges following last year's budget, I have to remind Members of the necessity to maintain the strictest confidentiality with regard to budget information circulated to Members in the House prior to its disclosure to the Dáil by the Minister for Finance. Disclosure of any such information in advance of its announcement here by the Minister will be treated as a serious breach of the privileges of the House. This statement is in accordance with the instructions issued to me by the Committee on Procedure and Privileges following last year's budget.
